Justification / Modifications:

Brief justification for harassment: I have maxed out Tourmented Soul as soon as possible because that early in the game, you should still be focusing on harassing. A 15 second cooldown and a more powerful attack on the soul will be far more useful, especially if one of your lane’s heros is taken out, since you can send down a Soul and, since the lane was taken, either weaken already weak opponents, or simply damage the creep wave that is there. You are able to defend the map if necessary. Some will say that Hellfire is a better skill to level up early because of the extra damage that it gives when ganking/chasing, but having a higher level soul means two things:
1. You can bring down your opponents HP to actually merit a chase MUCH faster.
2. You will not need to chase, as you have a lower cooldown and more powerful chaser. If two well-aimed Souls won’t kill the runner, then you shouldn’t be chasing them to begin with.

If you’re ganking with your teammates, then Wrath of the Pharaoh and Wall of Mummies should be your primary abilities, as they are the disables.

Lane Starting Items:
2x Runes of the Blight, 1x Healing Potion, 1x Crushing Claws, 1x Minor Totem, 2x Mana Potion

Core:
Bottle >> Power Supply >> Ghost Marchers >> Staff of the Master

After Core:

Shaman’s Headdress >>Barrier Idol >> Frostfield Plate >> Daemonic Breastplate

Barrier Idol will allow you to take more damage and Staff of the Master will make your ultimate down to a 20 second cool down.

30-Seconds-Guide:
Use Tormented Soul to get last hits on creeps you wouldn’t normally get.
– You’re the first to go in. Hellfire >> Ulti >> Mummies.
– Sending a Soul to a team mate who is trying to push a tower is invaluable to them, as it damages all the opposing creeps nearby, and good for you, as you can snag gold out of it.
– If you send in a level 4 Soul to any opponents, then you’re dealing 150 damage after damage reduction (let’s assume that no one has gone for magic armor THIS early in the game). Twice is 300. 300 damage early on is VERY significant, and is dealt to every opponent in the area, not just one. Just remember to harass a lot and you’ll do fine. This is important to remember while you’re laning.
